PHP Software Engineer

15M currently maintains hundreds of online gambling websites. Due to recent growth and future plans, we are looking for software engineers to join the company. The successful candidate will report to the Software Development Manager (SDM) and work closely with existing software engineering teams to deliver new functionality.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join a vibrant young company and utilise their previous experience as a software engineer. This role offers plenty of opportunities for someone to bring new ideas into the company and develop their career.

Note that this role will require occasional travel. This role will require three days onsite per week at the Watford office.

Essential Experience / skills
- 5+ years PHP
Excellent working experience and knowledge of PHP, object oriented programming and unit / integration testing.
- Laravel and Lumen frameworks
Solid working experience with these frameworks.
- Git
- MySQL
Experience writing complex queries and integrating PHP applications with large MySQL databases.

Experience within the following areas is useful but not essential (note that 15M supplies developers with MacBooks):
- Jira
- Bitbucket
- Docker
- PHP Storm

The right candidate must be able to work effectively within a team. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both a written and verbal capacity is essential. Self-organisation and reliability is also extremely important.

    Business Analyst

The successful candidate will work closely with the Software Development Team and multiple business units to understand, document and relay complex business requirements to the Software Development Team.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Based upon the immediate requirements for the company, the following are the key responsibilities for a person performing this role. Responsibilities are expected to grow in the near future.
    - Documenting functional requirements.
    - Facilitating workshops and discussions with various business units.
    - Providing clarification of requirements to software developers when needed.
    - Ensuring that requirements are well documented, clear and complete.

    Essential Experience / skills
    To perform this role, the successful candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience as a BA and have the following skills:
    - Previous experience with Jira.
    - Worked within an Agile environment.
    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    - Excellent self-organising skills.

    Experience within the online gambling sector is preferable but not essential.
