PHP Software Engineer

15M currently maintains hundreds of online gambling websites. Due to recent growth and future plans, we are looking for software engineers to join the company. The successful candidate will report to the Software Development Manager (SDM) and work closely with existing software engineering teams to deliver new functionality.

Note that this role will require occasional travel. This role will require three days onsite per week at the Watford office.

Essential Experience / skills
- 5+ years PHP
Excellent working experience and knowledge of PHP, object oriented programming and unit /
integration testing.
- Laravel and Lumen frameworks
Solid working experience with these frameworks.
- Git
- MySQL
Experience writing complex queries and integrating PHP applications with large MySQL
databases.

Experience within the following areas is useful but not essential (note that 15M supplies developers with MacBooks):
- Jira
- Bitbucket
- Docker
- PHP Storm

The right candidate must be able to work effectively within a team. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both a written and verbal capacity is essential. Self-organisation and reliability is also extremely important.

    Compliance Executive

    15 Marketing is a fast growing and ambitious marketing and technology company working in the online gambling space. Due to recent growth and future expansion plans, a Compliance Executive is required to support our Compliance Director in all matters relating to licensing and corporate governance. The successful candidate will work across multiple departments and business areas in order to enhance our existing processes, whilst keeping up to date on all the relevant industry news and developments. This will be a very hands on role, with significant visibility across the company. Key areas of focus will be managing the risk financial crime, responsible gambling, customer monitoring and anti money laundering.

    This role will report directly to the Compliance Director.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Own and update all key policies and procedure documents, ensuring they are up to date, accurate and in line with all new regulations
    - Ensure that all key policies and procedures are followed by the business; create processes for dealing with issues when they arise
    - Create and maintain a training schedule for all departments, ensuring that staff receive relevant training at regular intervals. Design internal training programs and deliver them to the business
    - Evaluate the effectiveness of our compliance work and recommend changes to ensure the constant improvement of our performance
    - Communicate changes of internal policies and external regulation to the business, ensuring that all employees are aware of the implications of those changes on their day to day roles
    - Monitor the compliance landscape in our markets, evaluating the impact of any updates on Jumpman Gaming’s business. Maintain a register of all industry compliance updates
    - Maintain our business Risk Register, ensuring that it accurately reflects our business risks and designing solutions to mitigate those risks

    Key Skills / Experience
    - Previous experience in online gambling or a desire to become an industry specialist
    - Previous experience in a compliance led role within the financial or gaming industry
    - Excellent written and spoken communication skills and pragmatic approach to governance and change
    - Strong teamwork, co-ordination and planning skills
    - Strong attention to detail and an extremely high level of organisation
    - Ability to work independently and proactively
    - Ability to work with senior business stakeholders

    This is an exciting time to work for 15 Marketing, they offer a competitive salary and provide the option of a free parking space, free lunch and a modern, casual working environment. 15 Marketing is currently based in North London just outside Watford (2-3 min walk from Radlett station – 20mins approx. from St. Pancras by Thameslink). We will be relocating to an office on Clarendon Road, Watford early December. Our new office is 2-3 min walk from Watford Junction and The Intu shopping centre.

    We work 9.30-6pm. You will have 1 guaranteed bonus a year, another annual bonus review and a separate annual pay review.

      Based upon the immediate requirements for the company, the following are the key responsibilities for a person performing this role. Responsibilities are expected to grow in the near future.
      - Documenting functional requirements.
      - Facilitating workshops and discussions with various business units.
      - Providing clarification of requirements to software developers when needed.
      - Ensuring that requirements are well documented, clear and complete.

      Essential Experience / skills
      To perform this role, the successful candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience as a BA and have the following skills:
      - Previous experience with Jira.
      - Worked within an Agile environment.
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      - Excellent self-organising skills.

      Experience within the online gambling sector is preferable but not essential.
